Why this, why now
Shopap started as a retail-tech platform for small Indian businesses — catalogue, orders, a storefront. Running it taught us where the work actually was: not in the software, but in the gap between a WhatsApp message and the record it should have become.
Language models made it possible to close that gap without asking the customer to change anything. But a model on its own guesses. So we built the parts around it: contact-kind routing so the right agent answers, server-side pricing so it can't invent a number, stock and calendar checks before anything is confirmed, and an audit trail for every decision.
The result is one platform that serves a distributor, a clinic, a broker and a D2C brand with the same machinery and different data. That's the bet: the message is different in every trade, and what has to happen after it is not.
